A fatty alcohol that is palm derived, it a mixture of Stearyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol and is used as an emollient, thickener and to help prevent separation in emulsions. Moisturising and softening to skin and hair, it is oil soluble and is a common ingredient in many cosmetic formulations.
