As the saying goes, “water and oil don’t mix”, but to overcome this problem, emulsifying wax is used. An emulsifier’s most useable characteristic is its ability to be attracted to both water and oil and it is this feature that allows a cream to come together without separating. This is a biodegradable product that is not considered a threat to aquatic systems. Our emulsifying wax is a complex mixture, with the main component being cetearyl alcohol (derived from palm oil) and small quantities of other surfactants.
